May 20, 2022
Total assets under management (AuM) overseen by exchange-traded funds (ETFs) worldwide would top $20 trillion by 2026, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 17% over the next five years, a newly released PwC study has forecast.
According to the research, which is based on a poll of 60 executives representing over 80% of ETF assets, ETF AuM grew by 22% during the five years ended December 2020. A majority of respondents anticipate the bulk of product releases this year to be centred around environmental, social and governance (ESG) themes, PwC said.
